Shannon Liebel, MA
Professional Counselor Associate, Somatic Therapist
Originally from Lake Tahoe, NV
ABOUT
Shannon received her MA in Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado, and has since been working to improve the lives of others through movement and mindfulness.
Shannon strongly believes in the connection between the mind, body, and soul, and this reflects in her counseling style. She invites mindfulness and embodiment practices into her sessions, including meditation, breath work, visualizations, movement and body scans. She enjoys helping people find freedom from anxiety and depression that can develop from unresolved past traumas, and focuses on present moment awareness to ground her clients while processing difficult life events.
She meets people where they are in the moment and allows them to help guide the therapy sessions, understanding that each moment may have a different need. She views every individual as a gift to the world, and strives to help every person she works with find peace and clarity, feel their full potential, and heal from the difficult parts of life. Her true passion is working alongside individuals on their journey to wellbeing and living a fulfilled life.
She believes community and connection are vital in mental wellness, and provides group sessions that create a safe space for people to show up authentically, and remind us that we are all humans walking this journey of life together. She believes in the oneness of all that is in the universe, and welcomes all walks of life to her individual and group sessions.
As a part of her own healing journey, Shannon discovered yoga in 2005 and is an avid student and dedicated teacher. She has owned Still Water Yoga & Wellness since 2016, and recently relocated to Bend, OR to run her newest location full time. She enjoys finding peace in nature, snowboarding, and any and all health and wellness actives, and will forever be an eager student.
