Angelina Castellani, MA

Licensed Professional Counselor, Oregon Board Approved Supervisor

ABOUT

Angelina is a licensed mental health therapist and a Board-approved supervisor. As a therapist, she uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach, utilizing Internal Family Systems and attachment theory to inform her work with clients. She has experience working with individuals spanning all phases of life, with a particular interest in the “coming-of-age” transition and the psychological challenges that come along with the shift from adolescence into adulthood. Angelina is also a licensed massage therapist, and she has training and experience with ecotherapy and in holding and guiding rites of passage, ceremony, and ritual.

She is inspired and humbled by transitions of all kinds, and this deep respect for life’s changes informs and shapes her work as a clinical supervisor. When working with other professionals, Angelina’s goal is to hold a safe, solid container within which supervisees can explore who they are as professionals while gaining understanding about how their humanity impacts their work with their clients and vice versa. She brings an embodied and holistic approach to professional growth and development, building a relationship of mutual respect and working with the belief that supervisees have within them everything that they need.

Angelina provides both individual and group supervision for registered associates at Mirror Pond Counseling. Individual sessions follow an integrative model, with supervisees having the opportunity for case consultation, professional goal-setting, and one-on-one feedback. Groups focus on co-learning and community building through activities such as skills share and practice, group processing, and discussion of broader themes and shared experience.

Angelina loves to be in community, whether that be with family, dear friends, or the nature around her. Her heart is at its fullest when hiking, camping, swimming in the ocean, or enjoying any outdoor activity in the sunshine. She also loves live music, traveling to new places, and spending time in the kitchen making soul-nourishing food.
