ABOUT

Liz (she/her) has a Masters in Counseling from Oregon State University of the Cascades and a Bachelors in Human Development and Family Science. Liz is a certified mental health investigator with a background in the school system. She loves working with teens to senior adults who have anxiety, depression, grief, spiritual distress and transforming trauma into spiritual gifts.

Liz has a background in trauma informed approaches. She uses Somatic Resourcing and Trauma Informed CBT. Liz is currently training in brain based interventions, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to reprocess trauma responses on the physiological/neurological level.

Reprocessing trauma is a freeing experience. Liz loves to facilitate clients overcoming multigenerational trauma patterns by collaborating with them on their path of healing. Liz holds deep respect for the gifts of those she sits with.

Liz brings an array of life experiences to the table.

She has walked her own personal healing journey, instrumental in opening her heart to greater depth of empathy into the space with her clients, while remaining informed and grounded in her clinical training and therapeutic role.

She grew up in the Sierra Nevadas in a rural town without any TV services. She spent her time outside or reading. Later in life Liz worked as a herpetologist (study of reptiles and amphibians), a radio DJ, and newspaper columnist.

Liz is a devoted wife of over 25 years and mother to her two adult children. Liz is just as devoted to her clients as she is her family. Liz says:

“I became a counselor to serve others, by helping them to find their best solutions. What works for one person may not work for another. It is my job to bring various interventions and resources that I’ve been trained to facilitate. I have worked with various populations and present a warm, inviting energy that can be felt. I am resourceful and creative!”
