Jason Barbee, MA, LPC

ABOUT

Jason Barbee is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received his degree from Capella University while traveling around the world. He has worked in community mental health, a drug rehabilitation center, wilderness therapy, private practice, and has been contracted as a behavioral specialist by the school district. Jason now is an approved supervisor with both Oregon and Idaho.

Having lived a full and adventurous life, Jason loves working with clients who are on a path to figure out what they really want out of life and breakthrough anything that might be getting in the way whether that is challenges with self-worth, fear, hopelessness, or substance abuse among countless other challenges. It’s been Jason’s life mission to help men, teens, and young adults to heal and realize their full potential.

 Jason encompasses a very supportive and empathetic approach that flows from a safe place to process emotions, therapeutic goal setting, psychoeducation, to skills that you can take into your everyday life. He uses both thought and body based approaches to help with reconditioning old patterns that keep us stuck and allow the real you to thrive. Another way Jason loves to help clients improve their quality of life is by helping them understand how their nervous system works. 

On a personal note, Jason was born and raised in Sun Valley, Idaho where he still has some of his family. He first fell in love with Bend while getting his degree in Psychology and another degree in Outdoor Leadership when he was in school at the University of Oregon in Eugene. Jason loves to go camping with his friends, paddle down the river, see live music, and summit mountains.
